Welcome and Gratitude:
As the sun began to set on the 22nd of July, SAL Hostel came alive with the vibrant energy of SALFEST 2023! Mrs. Remi Salifu, our incredible Hostel Manager, opened the event with a warm welcome, thanking the hardworking hostel executives who have dedicated their time and effort to create a cozy, homely environment for all of us.
New Facilities:
Our beloved Hostel Manager revealed some exciting news! SAL Hostel is all set to invest in new facilities to enhance our hostel experience. Prepare yourselves for a fantastic socialization space, where we can unwind, watch TV, play games, and enjoy various sporting activities. And wait, there’s
more! We’re bringing in convenient stores for all your last-minute essentials – no more running out of toothpaste or snacks!
Individual Room ECG Meters:
No more squabbles over who gets to use which electrical appliances! With individual room ECG meters, each room gets to decide its energy usage and make their own payments. And guess what? If you can’t bear the heat, you can request the installation of an air conditioner in your room for some chill vibes!
Renovation Works:
SAL Hostel is getting a makeover! During the vacation, renovation works will be underway to ensure that all our facilities are in top-notch condition before the next academic year. Get ready for an even cozier and comfortable stay!
Awards and citations for outgoing Executives:
The student executives were presented with awards and citations for their wonderful contributions to the successful year at SAL hostel.
New Executives:
Congratulations to the upcoming new executives who will be elected for the 2023/2024 academic year! We can’t wait to see the exciting programs they’ll bring to life for Akwaaba 2024 and SALFEST 2024 Remember the fantastic Akwaaba day celebration we had? We’re all looking forward to even more fun and engaging events next year, all thanks to the new executives’ brilliant ideas.
A Night to Remember:
But back to SALFEST 2023 – the highlight of the evening! With the program kicking off, guests were welcomed with open arms and treated to a scrumptious dinner starter that left taste buds dancing with joy. The networking and socializing session allowed us to meet new friends and catch up with old ones, creating unforgettable memories.
Lights, Camera, Action:
As the stars twinkled in the sky, we gathered for an exciting movie screening. The selection was spot-on, and the comfortable seating area with a large screen made the experience even better. It was the perfect chance to relax, unwind, and indulge in a fantastic movie.
Delicious Delights:
But the fun didn’t stop there! The dinner main dish was a gastronomic delight, offering a variety of food options to cater to all dietary preferences. Fried rice, Jollof rice, plain rice – take your pick, and let your taste buds rejoice!
Dancing Till Mama Calls:
What’s a celebration without some dance moves? We grooved to the beats until mama called, laughing, and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Looking Forward to 2023/2024:
As the night drew to a close, Mrs. Salifu expressed her heartfelt gratitude for our cooperation and support. We’re incredibly excited to welcome everyone back for the 2023/2024 academic year, where more adventures and fun await!
