Are you ready to meet the exceptional hostel leaders of the 2024/2025 academic year? Let’s start with our hostel’s organising Secretary, Kwesi Manful Essel. This blog will explore who Kwesi is, his story, and his achievements.
Kwesi Manful Essel is a third-year student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, specialising in Marketing and International Business at KNUST School of Business, Obuasi Campus. Kwesi hails from Ajumako Enyan Denkyira in the Central Region.
Kwesi has been focused on organising since primary school. While at Cradle of Grace Montessori, he served as a Protocol Prefect, ensuring that students conformed to rules, and later as a School Prefect in Junior High School. At Mfantsipim Boys’ Senior High School, he was the Assistant House Prefect for Balmer Acquaah House during his final year.
Through these experiences, Kwesi has acquired valuable skills in communication, organisation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and interpersonal relations. As someone passionate about leadership and organising, he currently serves as the Organising Secretary of Sal Hostel. In this role, he ensures the smooth running of hostel activities while creating a welcoming environment for all residents.
Outside of his leadership roles, Kwesi enjoys listening to music and reading, activities that help him unwind and expand his perspective. He is approachable and strives to connect with others. One of his favourite quotes, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there,” by Theodore Roosevelt, reflects his mindset of perseverance and positivity.
In conclusion, Kwesi Manful Essel embodies the spirit of leadership and dedication that inspires those around him. His journey from a young student with a passion for organising to a pivotal role within Sal Hostel reflects his commitment to fostering a vibrant community. As he continues to make strides in his academic and leadership endeavours, we are excited to witness the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on his peers and the broader community. We are proud to have him as part of our Sal Hostel family and look forward to celebrating his future achievements.
