FRESHMAN REPORTS AHEAD OF RESUMPTION.

A fresh student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Obuasi campus, has reported to the Sal Hostel facility before the school reopening date of the university and official opening of the hostel to the public.

With the school’s resumption date scheduled for Saturday January 14th, 2023, a fresh student reading BSc. Nursing, Gilbert Asare, reported to school on January 10, 2023, due to a mix up in recollecting the reopening date of the school, which he says is “a mistake” on his part.

Coming from the Eastern regional town of Kyebi, Gilbert settled down at the newly built Sal Hostel in Obuasi.

According to him, his choice of accommodation was based on the recommendation of his aunt and the impressive images of the hostel he saw on the SAL Hostel website.

Although he did not come to meet any colleagues, he expressed his delight in the quality of the facility meeting his expectations and the conducive environment in which it is situated upon seeing the hostel facility for the first time.

In an interview with Gilbert’s mother, Mad. Esther Arko Ofosu, she commented on her satisfaction with the hostel facility her ward will reside in for the academic year and how affordable it is and therefore advised parents to book the hostel for their wards. She commended the hostel management for the warm reception they received on arrival even when the hostel was not yet opened to students.

The Sal Hostel is situated at New Baakoyeden in the legendary gold mining city of Obuasi. The hostel offers amenities like roomy, independent living quarters, a cafeteria, round-the-clock security monitoring, a private balcony, a kitchenette, a study area, a common area, and other supplemental amenities like a shuttle, and other services to students of the KNUST.

Mad. Esther Arko Ofosu and her son Mr. Gilbert Asare wrapped up by endorsing Sal Hostel to other parents and students out there due to the hostel’s tranquil atmosphere and secure location.
